Windows-era design archive
Every piece in the 3D archive below was created before 2025, while I was developing on Windows, before my move to macOS.
These 3D concepts include monitor designs, personal scenes, interiors, and furniture. I reviewed a few monitor models with the ViewSonic engineering team, who found them novel. These were exploratory designs and did not change product direction. My greater influence on product direction came through my work as a product manager.

Personal Work
More personal 3D models, images, and scenes from my Windows era, all created before 2025.
This concept explored a digital interpretation of ViewSonic’s former lobby bird display, using animation and portable monitors to retain its familiar character. It was not implemented by ViewSonic.
Early photorealism studies
Before 2017 · Blender 2.x era
All 3D work from this point onward was created before 2017. These were early tests of photorealism in Blender, exploring glass, trees, interiors, and furniture.

River trail photographs & video
Afternoon on the river trail
iPhone 15 Pro Max HDR
I took this at the golf course during an afternoon bike ride on the river trail. I wanted the feel of an early Impressionist painting: taking an ordinary public space and elevating the experience of being there.

As the light faded
iPhone 15 Pro Max
I took these moments apart, just after sunset as the light was fading. The long exposure brings out the blue sky and the bridge’s reflections. The ride back was in darkness.

Camping among the sequoias
Sequoia National Park, California
iPhone 13 Pro HDR
I took this on my iPhone 13 Pro while camping among the sequoias. It was so dark that pointing my phone at the sky would allow a long exposure. I’d point up, start the shot, then lower the phone as quickly as possible to frame the building and let it expose for the remaining time.
Sitting next to the campfire, I edited it on my phone, boosting the contrast, color saturation, and warmth.
Then, as now, it reminded me of a Thomas Kinkade painting of a small country post office. It’s actually a photograph of a bear-proof trash can and a campsite bathroom building.
It looked a lot cuter than it smelled...
