This feature was both created and called out via press release as many gamers were disappointed in the PS5 gaming experience when using 1440p (QHD) monitors. As a solution ViewSonic included updated EDID, for 4K signal processing and downscaling to allow for better fideity in PS5 gaming than competitors could offer.
